How do e-vouchers work?
E-vouchers work in a similar way to online banking. You are assigned a personal e-voucher account which you access to arrange payment directly into your carer(s) bank account. You can easily monitor your payments and it is hassle-free for your carer as they do not have any vouchers to redeem.
Can I receive e-vouchers if I don’t have access to the Internet or email?
You must have access to the Internet and email to take e-vouchers. This is because payments are actioned through the e-voucher website and you are notified of payments via your email address.
Do the vouchers have an expiry date?
Childcare Choice vouchers have an expiry date of over 12 months so you can save them up for use for times when you may need extra childcare e.g. during the school holidays.
What if my vouchers have expired?
Sodexho Pass has in the past undertaken to replace vouchers for a further 12 months. Contact Sodexho Pass for more information.
If I have an amount of vouchers left at the end of the tax year, do I have to pay back the tax and NI? No. As long as the vouchers have not expired you can use them in the following tax year.
